The Kuku Yalanji Bamanga Bubu Ngadimunku dancers from Mossman Gorge in Far North Queensland perform at the Laura Dance and Cultural Festival in 2001. Three people including a pregnant employee of the United States Consulate and husband were gunned down by a suspected drug gang in Ciudad Juarez in Mexico over the weekend. Lesley Enriquez, 35, and her husband, Arthur Redelfs, 34, were shot as they were driving in a car. Their 7-month old daughter was discovered crying in the back seat; however she was not wounded. The killings occurred in broad daylight as the victims were returning home from a social gathering. In another incident the husband of a Mexican employee at the Consulate was also killed, officials said, and his two children in the car were wounded. The killings occurred a few minutes apart. US President Obama was deeply saddened and outraged at the events, according to White House officials. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said, I have spoken with our Ambassador in Mexico and we are working with the Government of Mexico to do everything necessary to protect our people and to ensure that the perpetrators of these horrendous acts are brought to justice. Mexican President Felipe Calderon said he was indignant and promised a swift investigation, according to reports. While Mexican security forces gave no information on the likely motive, reports quoted US State Department spokesman Fred Lash as saying the three slain people had attended the same social event before the attacks. However the killings come in the wake of a surge in drug-related violence that has steadily tightened its grip on Mexico, claiming ...

An EPIC moment in Pittsburgh Rave history as the Dance Floor Explodes with Energy! High point occurs at 2 min 35 sec into the video. Featuring DJ Scott Henry and an amazing light show by Electrolyte F/X. Over 2000 people came to this one night party called THE BIG ADVENTURE in Pittsburgh on August 14th 1999. The party was a one-night event that occurred at the old Crane Building warehouse in the Strip District. Produced by 5 Star Productions, the event featured djs Scott Henry, Dara, The Godfather etc etc. The production included a massive Turbosound rig by Wizard Workshop and 8th Day Sound. Visuals by Type 0. And a whopping lightshow of more than 100 moving lights by Electrolyte F/X. The event was also well known for its secret ceiling drop of 500+ inflatable monkeys. Days of hard work and a big team of volunteers went into making this event off the hook. This video captures the energy of an amazing era in the underground culture of Pittsburgh and the regional Midwest dance music scene. The energy at some of these events was unbelievable and matched by few. With hundreds of soldiers killed in Afghanistan and mod figures showing that in the month of July 2009 alone there were 94 injuries associated with the war in Afghanistan, the time is right for a charity dedicated to the welfare of those directly involved in the conflict. The mother of a soldier who died in an explosion in Afghanistan in July had the idea to set up a charity to provide support for those directly involved in the conflict. Afghan Heroes has been launched by a group of mothers with the aim of helping our service personnel directly on the front line; the families of those who have fallen and our returning service personnel who have witnessed these horrific losses of their fellow comrades. Afghan Heroes is independent of other charities. It deals specifically with members of the British forces and their families that have been affected by the military operations in Afghanistan now and into the future.
